The Board of Education of Hamilton County School District No. 10 met in a special session on the evening of August 11, 2009, at 7:00 p.m., in the Unit Office.

            The meeting was called to order by Board President John Ewald and Roll Call was as follows:  Present – Danny Anselment, Steve Becker, Krystal Donelson, Randy Kirsch, Tom Maulding, and John Ewald.  Rodney Rubenacker-absent.  Motion carried.

            Mr. Mark Epperson was present to invite the Board to a dinner meeting on August 20, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Local Laborer’s Hall along with other taxing bodies in the Enterprise Zone.

Motion by Becker, second by Kirsch to enter in to executive session at 7:15 p.m. to discuss appointment, employment, compensation, performance of specific employees; collective bargaining; and student discipline   Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Becker, Kirsch, Anselment, Donelson, Maulding and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Anselment, second by Donelson to come out of executive session at 8:50 p.m.  Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes –  Anselment, Donelson, Becker, Kirsch, Maulding, and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Becker, second by Maulding to approve the minutes from executive session.  Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

Motion by Maulding, second by Anselment to accept the letter of resignation from Chad Payne as Director of Sporting Clays effective August 5, 2009.  Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

            Motion by Kirsch, second by Becker to accept the letter of resignation from Paula Gage as a part-time tutor at Dahlgren School effective July 27, 2009.  Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

            Motion by Anselment, second by Maulding to accept the notice of retirement from Roger Lee effective at the end of the 2012-2013 school year.  Vote was taken by voice and motion carried.

            Motion by Kirsch, second by Donelson to employ the following Rend Lake College part-time tutors Michaela Morlan-ES; Lacy Vineyard-ES; and Toni Webb-DH.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Kirsch, Donelson, Anselment, Becker, Maulding and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Becker, second by Kirsch to employ Billie Davis as a study hall monitor at the Jr. High School for the 2009-2010 school year.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Becker, Kirsch, Anselment, Donelson, Maulding and Ewald.  Motion carried.

           

 

 

 

Motion by Anselment, second by Maulding to employ Ashley Green as a computer lab monitor at East Side School for the 2009-2010.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Anselment, Maulding, Becker, Donelson, Kirsch, and Ewald.  Motion carried.

Motion by Becker, second by Kirsch to employ Brian Blades as a special education teacher assigned to the Senior High School for the 2009-2010 school year.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Becker, Kirsch, Anselment, Donelson, Maulding and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Donelson, second by Kirsch to re-employ Janice Crow as Family Resource Center Coordinator at 66% time for the 2009-2010 school year.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Donelson, Kirsch, Anselment, Becker, Maulding, and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Anselment, second by Donelson to re-employ the following as teachers aides, for the 2009-2010 school year:  Ashley Allen, Angela Golliher and Kathy Smith.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Anselment, Donelson, Becker, Kirsch, Maulding, and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion  by Kirsch, second by Anselment to employ Bev Gordon as a teacher aide, as needed,  for the 2009-2010 school year.   Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Kirsch, Anselment, Becker, Donelson, Maulding, and Ewald.   Motion carried.

            Motion by Becker, second by Anselment to employ Melissa Mullins as a teacher aide, as needed, for the 2009-2010 school year.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Becker, Anselment, Donelson, Kirsch, Maulding, and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Maulding, second by Anselment to employ Brad Tedford as a teacher aide, as needed, for the 2009-2010 school year.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Maulding, Anselment, Becker, Donelson, Kirsch, and Ewald.  Motion carried.

            Motion by Kirsch, second by Becker to authorize to advertise for full-time and part-time tutors, as needed, for the 2009-2010 school year.  Roll Call Vote – Voting Yes – Kirsch, Becker, Anselment, Donelson, Maulding, and Ewald.  Motion carried.

Motion by Becker, second by Maulding to adjourn.  Vote was taken by voice, motion carried, and the meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m.
